Cowboy Up Summer


Seven Hill’s 2024 Summer is inviting kids to come and Cowboy Up…with LOVE.   Our summer event is for both boys and girls lasting eight weeks, with your “ranch hand” coming once a week—same day and same time for those 8 weeks. These young “ranch hands” will be working next to, with and on horses to build a vital foundation of safe and positive experiences for both horse and child. Each week ranch hands will be learning and applying new horsemanship skills, participating in a service project,  and assisting with ranch chores.  Boys and girls will learn and embrace what it means to be a real “cowboy”:


Cowboy Code:

  1.  A cowboy does not judge by the color of skin, but by character within.  

  2. A cowboy doesn’t boast and doesn’t need guns to be tough.  

  3. A cowboy won’t find excuses or blame others for failings or when things go wrong.

  4. A cowboy always respects others, especially leaders and elders.

  5. A cowboy stands strong for what the American Frontier is all about: Freedom, Truth, justice, and the American Way.

  6. A cowboy will not be wronged, nor wrong another, nor stand by watching another being wronged.

  7. A cowboy is loyal and hard working and maintains a high ethic.

  8. A cowboy respects all animals and the earth they roam upon.

  9. A cowboy is bound by duty, honor, and gratitude for what God has given, which includes family and friends.

  10. A cowboy maintains a hidden code in his/her heart, for all to see.



These sessions are offered for free, out of all the goodness Jesus has given us.  We are hoping to serve kids that have been dealt a hard hand in their young life: the ones who maybe have a difficult home situation, struggle to feel confident in school, or just need a space to exhale and get rooted.  We are not therapists or professionals of any type, but just Christian believers who have big hearts and a handful of horses.
